A few weeks ago Corney gave an interview with Imran Kelly from Mandatory 8 Films – twitter
The film looks back over his boxing career – starting with a street fight aged 11, progressing through junior and amateur ranks, sparring with Roy Jones Jnr in America – returning to the UK to win the Lonsdale British Middleweight title – and defeating Steve Foster and Dingaan Thobela for the WBFo World Middleweight titles.
Corney gives a frank and honest assessment from his 30-years boxing – the training, opponents and the business world of boxing during the 1990’s. It’s interesting watch for Sneak Punch and boxing fans alike.
You can also watch a separate interview with James Cook (Corney’s rival for the British title in 1994) – click here
